About the author

Jack Beale Smith was born on a dairy farm in Bainbridge, New York on July 6, 1944.  His parents John Orlando and Winifred Bell Smith were both born and raised on Dairy farms.  The family worked the farm until his father’s health caused the family to move to the southwestern part of the United States. Their first move was to Elk City, Oklahoma.  From there they moved to Tucson, Arizona.  For a few months they lived in Brownfield, Texas.  Their final move was to Seligman, Arizona where Jack graduated from High School. 

On June 3, 1967 Jack married Donna Burns of Del City, Oklahoma, and since that time they raised three fine children, also over the past 48 years Jack Beale Smith has attended several colleges and universities including, Arizona State University, Oklahoma City Southwestern, Northern Arizona University and finally the University of Oklahoma, and has earned several degrees.
